Band Buses

I wonder if school buses work,
As they were intended to do.
With squealing brakes and a ride that jerks,
And exhaust fumes that just smell, phew!

Those narrow aisles and worn down skids,
Hard vinyl seats that get dirty,
Acoustics that make forty band kids,
Sound like four hundred and thirty!

To top off all of these pluses,
They say that they are hard to steer.
If I ran that firm that makes buses,
I'd fire their chief engineer!.
