Fund Rai$ing
You may know of high finance,
Mergers, buyouts, the Main Chance,
And those banker gnomes of Zurich great and grand,
But when it comes to raising money,
Why then let me tell you sonny,
No one beats the students in a high school band!
First they pick their parents clean,
Perhaps you know what we mean,
And then on their neighborhoods they do descend.
Selling goodies which we fear,
You haven't used up from last year,
But you'll buy another dozen in the end!
Since everybody loves a clown,
They bring the circus into town,
Twenty elephants!Its cheap at twice the price!
They sell band mugs and band stickers,
To pay for their rain-proof slickers,
And for quick cash hold a car wash once or twice.
